Irene (Kudey) Orloski

DUPONT — Irene (Kudey) Orloski, 93, of Dupont, entered into eternal rest Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at the VNA Hospice Geisinger CMC, Scranton.

She was born in Dupont, Nov. 6, 1920, and was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Lacomis) Kudey. She was a life-time member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, and a member of the Woman's Altar and Rosary Society. Irene attended Dupont schools. She worked in the local garment industry and retired after many years of service as a homemaker and cook for St. John's the Evangelist Church Rectory, Pittston.

Irene was a very loving, caring and kind woman, she will be forever remembered by her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vincent Orloski, who died Jan. 26, 1986; her infant son; brothers Frank and Raymond Kudey; sister Helen Kutchmanich; grandmother Victoria Lacomis, and her son-in-law Paul Sovinsky.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann and her husband Ron Rinaldi, of Dupont; Geraldine Sovinsky, of Dupont and Rita and her husband James Tubridy, of Wyoming; her brother Eugene Kudey, of Pittston; sisters Loretta Budzelek, of Pittston, and Connie Didario, of Old Forge. Also surviving are her grandchildren Ronda (Rinaldi) White and her husband Douglas; Ronnie Rinaldi and his wife Jennifer; Amanda Carey, Alex Tubridy and Lauren Sovinsky; six great-grandchildren Matthew, Emily and Nicholas Rinaldi, and Jack, Grace, and Luke White and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Dupont, with Father Joseph Verespy officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
