AUGUSTA, Ga. — Jason Baclawski, 48, of Augusta, Ga., entered into eternal peace on Sept. 29, 2013.
Jason was the son of Marta and Joseph Baclawski. Born in Pennsylvania on Aug. 24, 1965, Jason was raised in California from the age of one year. He graduated from Kennedy High School and later from ITT Technical School.
He moved to Georgia, where he owned and operated the lucrative Jason's Southern Cycle for more than 20 years.
Jason had a true love of the South and he often referred to it as God's country. The South loved him back as Jason was adored and respected by all who knew him.
Jason loved to ride his motorcycle and made several journeys across the United States. He often said "the sky was the roof over his head."
Jason was also an exceptionally talented musician who played the piano, guitar, drums and cello.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph; his beloved brother, Billy; and his grandparents.
Jason is survived by his precious six-year-old daughter, Julia, who was the light of his life. Their profound love for each other was unprecedented. Also surviving are his mother, Marta; siblings, Joe, Jeff and Kim; nieces, nephews and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss Jason dearly.
A memorial Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Oct. 26 in the Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Duryea.
