Julia S. DiStefano

PITTSTON — Julia S. DiStefano, 94, of Pittston Township, passed away on Sunday, May 13, 2018, at United Methodist Homes, Wesley Village, Pittston.

Born March 2, 1924, in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Vincenzo and Josephine Curcio Monteforte.

Surviving are her son, James J. DiStefano, and wife Joanne; grandchildren James and Jennifer DiStefano; brothers Fred Monteforte and his wife, Theresa, of Pittston, and Leo Monteforte and his wife, Marcella, also of Pittston.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Rocco J. DiStefano, of Pittston Township; brothers Joseph Monteforte and his wife, Rose, of Old Forge, and Richard Monteforte and his wife, Marie, of Albrightsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Julia's name to Candy's Place, A Cancer Wellness Center: 90 Welles St., Suite 120, Forty Fort, PA 18704, or to Living Beyond Breast Cancer: 40 Monument Road, Suite 104, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Julia on Friday, May 18, 2018, from St. Joseph Marello Parish, William Street, Pittston, at 9:30 a.m.

Julia will be laid to rest with her husband in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Township.
