WILKES-BARRE — Karen A. Crawford, 71, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late William and Genevieve Krebs Raeder. She was educated in the Wilkes-Barre schools. For many years she was employed at Carter Rubber of Wilkes-Barre.

Having been a recipient of a kidney donation, she, on her death, gave the gift of life to others.

Preceding her in death was a brother, William Raeder.

Surviving are her husband, Phillip, with whom she would have celebrated 45 years of marriage in October; daughters, Karen Franklin and her husband, John, Tunkhannock, Lynne Cox, Richmond, Virginia, Lesley DiPinto, Rochester, New York; grandchildren, Keri and Derik Franklin, Tunkhannock, Stephen and Morgan Cox, Richmond, Ryleigh DiPinto, Rochester; nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. July 19 in Albert Cemetery, Mountain Top.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
