DURYEA — Lawrence "Larry" Hamilton, 66, of Duryea, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Moosic, Sept. 25, 1947, and was the son of the late Vernon and Louise (Barrett) Hamilton. Larry was a member of Queen of the Apostles Parish, Avoca. He attended St. Mary's School, Avoca, graduated from Taylor Moosic High School and Wyoming Valley Technical School. Larry worked for many years for Eagen and Son's, Exeter.

Larry is survived by his wife of 46 years, the former Mary (Cimakasky) Hamilton; his daughters Antoinette Hamilton, of Duryea; Laura Hamilton, of Ashley and Jeannine Walsh, of Florida; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers Joseph and wife Mary, of Carbondale; Thomas and wife Lynn, of Moosic and Robert Hamilton and Marybeth Coleman, of Moosic; his sister Suzanne and her husband Leon Mickiewicz, of South Abington Township and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Queen of the Apostles Parish, Hawthorne Street, Avoca, with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Interment will be held at St. John's Cemetery, Duryea.
