Lisa DeSpirito Obituary

Mrs. Lisa B. DeSpirito, 44, of Whitetail Drive, Mountain Top, died on Tuesday night at her home, surrounded by her family.
Born in Kingston on Jan. 28, 1965, she was a daughter of Wayne B. Brandt of Plymouth and Judith Robinhold Brandt of Forty Fort. She graduated from Wyoming Valley West High School and Penn State University, with a Bachelors of art education. She received her Masters in elementary education from Beaver College, Glenside, Pa.
Lisa was employed as an art teacher at the Hazleton Area Middle School, Hazleton. She was very honored to receive the award of “Teacher of the Year” twice. Previously, she had been employed as the Director of marketing at Pocono Downs.
Lisa was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Mountain Top. She was formerly a member of the Forty Fort United Methodist Church.
She was the past president of the Crestwood High School Soccer Booster Club. She was the Year Book Advisor at the Hazleton Middle School.
Her hobbies included painting, photography, arts and crafts. She loved her family, friends and was an avid Penn State fan.
Surviving besides her parents, are her husband, Anthony “Tony”; sons, Nicholas and Alexander; daughter, Danielle; sisters, Susan and her husband, Jeffrey Andress, Berwick and Cindy and her husband, Michael Berry, Shavertown; seven nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Forty Fort United Methodist Church, Wyoming & Yeager Avenue’s, Forty Fort, with the Rev. Donald A. Roberts Sr., officiating.
The interment will be private. Friends may call on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc., Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Avenue, Forty Fort.
In lie of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be made to the Lisa DeSpirito Trust Fund for the Children, Cross Valley Credit Union.

my memories of Lisa are from years ago, we worked together at The Brandywine Hotel, in Downingtown, we became friends, she was a great person always smiling and very pleasant.I attended Tony and Lisa's wedding and it was beautiful.
