Lucille Zavada, 83, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at her home after a lengthy illness. She was surrounded by her family at the end.
Lucille was born Dec. 30, 1929, a daughter of the late Maria Lispi Tassi and Aurillo Lispi. A graduate of Coughlin High School, she was formerly employed by the Social Security Administration.
Lucille was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Zavada, and sister, Lola Greytock.
Surviving are her daughter, Lolamaria Zavada; nieces; nephews; and her dog Java.
The funeral will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict's Church, Austin Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
