Lynda N. Carle, 64, of Dallas, passed away Saturday at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Lyle and Catherine Johnston Carle.
Lynda was a graduate of Dallas High School, class of 1965, Wilkes College and studied in France.
At one time she was a French instructor at Millersville State College, and later was a real estate agent for Mary J. Crispell Real Estate.
She was a member of the Dallas Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. The most important thing to Lynda, besides family and friends, was her ministry.
Even though she had a chronic illness and could not go door to door referring to the Bible, she called people on the telephone full-time since January 1999 to give them hope for the future. There are no surviving family members.
A Memorial Service for Lynda and her mother, Catherine, will be held Saturday, August 25, at 1 p.m. in Kingdom Hall, Hildebrant Road, Dallas, with Mark Wilmot as speaker. Private interment will be in Memorial Shrine Park, Carverton. Arrangements are by the Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas.
