WILKES-BARRE — Mary Ann Gianuzzi George, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014, at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
Born July 7, 1940, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Angeline Joseph Gianuzzi. She was a graduate of GAR High School, class of 1957.
Formerly employed by Alvin Schwartz Food Broker, she worked for 25 years in the banking industry and retired from Bank of America as a commercial loan assistant.
She was a member of St. Andrew's Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She and her husband, William, celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary on Jan. 26, 2014.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are children, Jacqueline and her husband, Anthony Goyne, Mountain Top, Brian and his wife, Helen George, King of Prussia, Christopher and his wife, Theresa George, Philadelphia; grandchildren, Nicole and Anthony Goyne, Kyle, Joshua and Kayla Zalot, Angeline George, Anna and Katherine George; brothers, Vito and his wife, Elaine Gianuzzi, Bonita Springs, Florida, Philip and his wife, Phyllis Gianuzzi, Wilkes-Barre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held at 8:30 a.m. Friday from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in Little Flower Chapel, South Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
