SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — Mary G. Luvender, 92, of Summerville and formerly of Pittston, widow of Joseph L. Ozark and William Luvender, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Trident Medical Center, Charleston, South Carolina.

Mrs. Luvender was born Aug. 25, 1921, in Dupont, a daughter of the late John and Mary Lukasik Klemchick. She attended schools in Dupont.

She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting and traveling. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and of Sacred Heart Women's Society. She was a retired seamstress and homemaker.

Surviving are one son and one daughter, Joseph Ozark Jr. (Sandra) and Ann Marie Ozark (Susan), all of Summerville; one stepson, William Luvender (Susanne), Tunkhannock; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Ave., Dupont. The family will receive friends in the vestibule at 9 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
