KINGSTON — Matilda "Millie" Nardone, of Kingston and formerly of Mountain Top, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, surrounded by her loving children. Her husband, the late Atty. Vincent C. Nardone, preceded her in death in 1964.
She was born in Larksville on Nov. 3, 1930, a daughter of the late George and Verna Motz Bialek. She attended Larksville schools and was a graduate of Larksville High School. She was a former member of St. Jude Church in Mountain Top, and was currently at St. Ignatius Church in Kingston.
Millie devoted her life to raising her children and grandchildren. Their gratitude and love for her can never be adequately expressed.
Surviving are her children, Dr. Vincent C. Nardone (Karen Stack), South Windsor, Connecticut, Atty. John C. Nardone (Patricia Shumaker), Dallas, Carole Kneal (Gary Burczy), Ashley, and Theresa Murphy (James Murphy), Kingston; grandchildren, Dr. Vincent J. Nardone, Annaria Barnds (Brandon), Sara Nardone and Robert Nardone; sisters, Helen Schlosser, Fairless Hills, Delores Kuharcik, North Palm Beach, Florida, and Barbara Beretsky, Larksville; a brother and sisters-in-law; several nieces and nephews.
The family thanks the numerous health care providers who gave Millie such wonderful care over the past few years, especially at John Heinz, Hospice of the Sacred Heart and her home health aide, Bonnie, but in particular John Kish, M.D., and his staff.
Funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
