Michael G. Kachmarsky, 51, of Pringle, passed away Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 in the Hospice Community Care Inpatient Unit, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of Dennis and Mary Yanushka Kachmarsky of Pringle. He was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, and served for four years as a United States Marine, attaining the rank of lance corporal. He worked for many years as a sales and service rep in the heating, ventilation and air conditioning industry. Mike enjoyed fishing, golfing and working in the yard.
Besides his parents, he is survived by his children, Tammy Jones, Michael Kachmarsky Jr., Nicholas Kachmarsky and Amanda Kachmarsky, all of Plymouth; five grandchildren, Sabrina and Jordan Jones, Mason and Riot Kachmarsky, Travis Kachmarsky; brothers and sisters, Patricia Kukosky, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Dennis Kachmarsky and his wife, Joanne, Matthews, N.C.; Teresa Popowycz and her husband, Joe, Mountain Top; Carol Hannagan and her husband, Jim, Pringle; Tom Kachmarsky, Pringle; Mary Pascucci and her husband, Henry, Edwardsville; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be Monday at 10 a.m. from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerby Ave., Kingston, with Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. in St. Vladimir's Church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Larksville. Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions are made to St. Vladimir's Church, 70 Zerby Avenue, Edwardsville, PA 18704.
