Richard C. (Pappy) Johnson passed away Nov.17, 2012.

He was born Sept. 10, 1924. During his 88 years, he loved his family and the farming industry. He operated his own mobile feed grinding business, Johnson's Mobile Feed, for 25 years and then retired and left operations to his son Mark.

He was also an avid member of Triton Hose Company. Dick also served as an ambulance driver for Tunkhannock in the '60s.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Mildred Gyle Johnson, and a brother, Smith Johnson.

During Pappy's life, he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He was always there for whomever needed him. He was and is a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda Rose of Springville and Nancy Stevens and husband Robert of Tunkhannock; a son, Mark Johnson, and wife Vicki of Tunkhannock; three granddaughters, Terri Rose Mandigo of Taylor; Kari Johnson of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and Bonnie Milburn of Clarks Summit; three grandsons, Dustin and Sean Stevens of Colorado and Kyle Johnson, serving in the Air Force stationed in Belgium; three great-grandsons, one great- granddaughter and two great-great grandchildren.

Memorial service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. from the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, with the Rev. Lori Robinson of the Factoryville United Methodist Church officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

Interment will follow at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Tunkhannock.
