Sharon M. Ray, 59, of Forkston Township, died Thursday afternoon at Commonwealth Home Health and Hospice of Northeastern PA, located at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
She was born in Holyoke, Mass. on Sept. 1, 1953, a daughter of the late Warren C. and Doris Phillips Clark. She married her husband, Randall Kevin Ray, on Aug. 10, 1974. She was a 1971 graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School.
Sharon was a member and served as secretary of the Forkston Grange, served as superintendent and also a teacher at the Sunday School of the Forkston United Methodist Church, served as a Girl Scout troop leader for Troop No. 466, worked at the ARC of Wyoming County for more than 20 years and worked at Procter & Gamble for 28 years, being very instrumental in coordinating the Luvs Diaper Quality Lab.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Warren C. Clark Jr.; paternal grandparents, Oliver P. and Louise Clark; maternal grandparents, Harold and Mildred Phillips; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert L. and Laracatherine M. Ray; brother-in-law, Shawn Holbrook Ray; great aunt and godmother, Peggy Kowalski.
She was a beloved wife to Randall Kevin Ray; mother to Karri-ane Ray, Forkston Township; sister to Karen Guydosh, Mill City; and sister-in-law to Joe Guydosh.
Memorial service will be March 24 at Forkston United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Jean L. Sweet officiating. Friends may call Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Harding-Litwin Funeral Home, 123 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be in Forkston Cemetery.
