Sophia Lucidi, 83, of Dallas, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012 at Hospice Community Care, Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Plymouth, she was the daughter of the Late Michael and Julia Shevock. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School class of 1947. Sophia was a secretary and auditor for Martz Trailways for 35 years until her retirement in 1998. She was also a treasurer with White Transit Relief Association of Wilkes-Barre, affiliated with Martz, and was a member of Teamsters Local union 401 as an office manager. Member of Geisinger Wyoming Valley Women's Auxiliary and a member of Irem Women's Transportation Unit. Sophia was a member of the Nanticoke Chapter 174 Order of the Eastern Star.

Sophia was preceded by her husband, Anthony, in 2002 and by brothers, Ignatius and Walter Shevock, and sisters, Ann Sawka and Mary Brozena.

Surviving is her son, Tony Lucidi, Dallas.

Funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from The Richard H. Disque Funeral Home Inc., 2940 Memorial Highway, Dallas, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, with the Rev. Daniel Toomey officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Shrine Burial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Eastern Star will conduct service at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
