Theresa A. Holub, 82 of Plains Township, passed away Sunday evening at her home.
Born in Plains, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Ann (Ference) Sierko.
Theresa was a graduate of Plains Memorial High School, and was employed as a waitress for the Plains American Legion, Joseph E. Conlon Post 558, for 28 years. She was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, John Francis Sierko; sister Nellie Malachefski, and her sister-in-law Florence Sierko.
Surviving are her husband, Edward P. Holub, with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage with on April 25, 2013; son, Edward Holub Jr., and his wife, Lee Ann, Luzerne; grandchildren, Courtney Kotarski, and Justin Kotarski and his wife, Nicole; great-grandsons, Hunter and Gavin Kotarski; brother Stanley Sierko, Plains; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. from the Corcoran Funeral Home Inc., 20 S. Main St., Plains, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m.in Ss. Peter & Paul Church, Plains. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery, Plains. Friends may call Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
