Theresa Testa Obituary

Theresa M. Testa, 89, a longtime resident of Spring Brook Township, died Thursday at the Taylor Nursing Home. Born in West Pittston, a daughter of the late James and Mable Pinola Caprio, she was a graduate of West Pittston High School. Theresa retired from Rita’s Sportswear, Moscow, where she was a seamstress. She is a member of the Red Hat Women’s Association and the St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow. Her husband, the late Charles A. Testa, died March 2006. The couple was married 67 years. She was also preceded in death by a son, Martin Testa; and a brother, Joseph Caprio.
Surviving are a daughter, Corinne Wilchenski and husband, Clarence, Lubbock, Texas; two sons, Charles Testa and wife, Sandra, Moscow, and Richard Testa and wife Cheryl, Mountain Top; a sister, Loretta Scarantino, Florida; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Home, Route 690 and First Street, Spring Brook Township. Mass takes place at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Church Street, Moscow. Interment to follow in St. Catherine’s Cemetery, Main Street, Moscow.
