Victor Cruz Obituary
Victor M. Cruz Jr., 49, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2010. Born July 11, 1960, in Jersey City, N.J., he was a son of Victor M. Cruz Sr. and Maureen Broderick Cruz, of New Jersey. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Cherie Cruz; and children, Nicole Kubiak, Victor Cruz III, Megan Cruz, Jillian Cruz and Giana Cruz; a granddaughter, Natalya Kearney; brothers, Michael, Robert, Joseph, Steven and Christian; sisters, Donna and Lisa; maternal grandmother, Gertrude Griffo; and paternal grandfather, Everisto Cruz. Victor will be remembered as a man with a big heart, and as a man who would do anything to see his family and friends smile. He was a very kind and giving man who will be forever remembered as such by anyone whose life he has touched. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home, 136 Maffett St., Plains Township, with the Rev. Joseph Greskiewicz officiating. Family and friends may call Sunday, from service time until 4 p.m.

Happy, Happy Birthday my brother Victor in heaven, Just thinking of you and how you impacted my life in such a profound way and wish we could catch up and converse and share in all you had instilled so many blessings on everyone you touched especially your children who you wished only the best of intentions and happiness in their lives and your grandchildren.... I never got the pleasure of meeting Victor, but I was told by many of his loved ones of what a wonderful, funny, caring and smart man he was. I was truly shocked and sadden by the news of his passing. Victor know what you have a great family and you'll be truly missed. Nicole, Jill, Cherie, Jessica, Jessica's mother, Aunt Lisa, Uncle Joey, Nicholas, and Joseph you and the rest of the family are in my prayers. May you R.I.P. Victor

My brother Victor was one of the greatest influences in my life, he was the smartest and most talented man that I've ever known. He will be greatly missed on this earth & I am in still in shock that he is no longer here. My sons and I will miss him forever.

Dear Cherie and Kids, Your husband, your dad, my brother was the kindest man I have ever known. A piece of my heart has gone with him forever now (my wonderful brother).
