William Edward Boyle

SOUTH AUBURN — William Edward Boyle, 57, of South Auburn, formerly of central New Jersey, passed away Friday afternoon, Aug. 1, 2014, at his home.

Bill was born on July 28, 1957, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, a son of the late Thomas L. Boyle, Sr., March 19, 2011, and Joan Shaffer Boyle, Freehold, New Jersey.

He was a graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Metuchen, New Jersey, with the class of 1975.

Bill worked as a warehouse supervisor at the A&P in New Jersey for many years. He moved to South Auburn about six years ago to care for his father, who was a long time resident of South Auburn.

Bill was a member of the Rought Hall Post #510 American Legion in Black Walnut, as well as, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Union, Local 863, in New Jersey. He liked the New York Jets football team, following NASCAR; and he loved to fish.

Bill is survived by his mother, Joan Shaffer Boyle, Freehold; his siblings, Joan Isaacs and her husband, Jeff, Howell Township, New Jersey, Tamy Sutton, Catskill, New York, Thomas Boyle Jr. and his wife, Maryellen, of Hazlet, New Jersey, and Lisa Quaglieri and her husband, Anthony, of Matawan, New Jersey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held noon Tuesday in the St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church, with Father Joseph Manarchuck of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Bonaventure's Cemetery, Auburn. Family and friends may call 10 to 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Sheldon Funeral Home, 8206 state Route 6 (Main St.), Meshoppen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bill's name for cancer research to the Weis Center for Research, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA 17822.
