CARLISLE — Dorothy J. Ward, 87, formerly of Kingston, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014, in Carlisle, following a brief illness.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late John and Jean Rocaski Kozemko. Dorothy was a graduate of James M. Coughlin High School.
A caring and supportive mother and grandmother, Dorothy also worked for many years with her husband, radio and television personality Jim Ward (Morning Mayor and Buckskin Jim), at radio station WARD.
Dorothy was a resident of Kingston for more than 55 years and a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Kingston.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, James F. "Jim" Ward.
Surviving are daughters, Sherry Ward, Westfield, N.J., Mallory Ward, Swoyersville, Jamie Lieberman, New York City, Gretchen Carvella, Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family with interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.
