PLYMOUTH — Irene "Beanzie" Kosloski crossed through the gate to eternal peace on Thursday, March 6, 2014.
She was born Oct. 24, 1928, to the late Helen (Matcko) and Charles Kapral. She spent the majority of her adult life in Plymouth with her late husband, Daniel "Gabe," whom she married on Sept. 11, 1954; and their three children, Marian, Daniel and Terri.
Beanzie and Gabe proudly owned and operated Gabe's Candy, keeping children happy for decades. Prior to their candy shop, she worked at General Cigar, Kingston.
A woman of strong Catholic faith, she was currently a member of All Saints Parish. She will be fondly remembered for her love of bingo, farmer-dancing, sewing and, most importantly, her grandson, Danny.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gabe; brothers, Emery, Robert, Michael, Carl, George, William and Andrew; sisters, Catherine, Mary, Pauline, Barbara, Helen, Margaret and Madeline.
Surviving are her three children, daughter, Marian Kulick and her husband, Frank, Larksville; son, Daniel Kosloski and his wife, Jackie, Scranton, and daughter, Theresa Partington, West Pittston. She is also survived by her grandson, Danny Kosloski, Scranton; siblings, Fran Stavish and her husband, Daniel, John Kapral and Joseph Kapral; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in All Saints Parish, Plymouth. Interment will be in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Muhlenburg. Family and friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday.
