NANTICOKE — Ronald "Poncho" Kuligowski, 59, of the Honey Pot section of Nanticoke, passed away on March 6, 2014, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born in Nanticoke and was a son of the late Daniel Sr. and the late Celia Wallace Kuligowski. Ronald was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Church which is now the St. Faustina Parish Church. He was also a graduate of Nanticoke High School, class of 1972.
Ronald was employed by Penn Footware as a factory worker where he worked until the closing of the plant, and then he worked in construction.
He was a member of the American Legion Post No. 350, Nanticoke, Outpost Sportsmans Club, Lake Silkworth Fireman's Club and the Honey Pot Fireman's Club.
He is presently survived by a brother, Daniel Jr., Dallas; sister, Charmaine and her husband, Robert, Nanticoke; nieces, Jennifer Gilson and Kelly and Katie Kuzminski; nephews, Kyle and Daniel Kuligowski; and a close companion, Marlene Hughes, Nanticoke.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday from the Grontkowski Funeral Home P.C., 51-53 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with Mass of Chrisatian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Faustina Parish, primary site, with the Rev. James Nash officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Nanticoke. Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
