WILKES-BARRE TWP. — Mrs. Mary Klep, of Wilkes-Barre Township, passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at Tiffany Court Assisted Living, Kingston.
Born Dec. 9, 1921, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Boczar Mikosz. Mary attended Wilkes-Barre Township schools and was employed as a presser in the area garment industry.
When Mary retired, she remained very busy. She loved going to the Senior Citizen's Club, bingo and the casino. She also loved baking and cooking family meals. She was a member of Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, on March 11, 1996; sisters, Bella Turinski, Helen Golazewski and Ann Gonczkowski; and brother, Stanley Mikush.
She will be greatly missed by daughters, Mary Ann Williams and her husband, Andrew, and Michaelene Usloski and her husband, Walter, both of Wilkes-Barre Township; grandchildren, Mary Ann McPeek, Marlene Siberski, Walter and Brandon Usloski; great-grandchildren, Kirra, Korey and Kaitlin; and great-great-grandsons, Kaden and Kaleb.
Mary's family thanks the staff at Tiffany Court, Kingston, and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the excellent care she received.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Polish National Catholic Church, 23 Sheridan St., Wilkes-Barre. The Very Rev. Thaddeus J. Dymkowski will be celebrant. Interment will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may call 9 a.m. until time of services Saturday.
