HANOVER TWP. — Joan Golightly O'Day, of Hanover Township, passed away Monday, May 26, 2014, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born Sept. 11, 1936, in Luzerne, she was a daughter of the late John and Bertha Shaver Golightly.
Joan was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by sister, Gertrude Lingle; son, James O'Day; and daughter-in-law, Collette O'Day.
Surviving are her sons, John O'Day and his wife, Debbie, Dallas, Vincent O'Day, Wilkes-Barre, Joseph O'Day and his wife, Donna, Hanover Township, and Raymond O'Day and his wife, Alice, Plymouth; daughters, Jean O'Day and her companion, Joe Folek, Swoyersville, and Evelyn Klepadlo and her husband, Richard, Nanticoke; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Bruce, John, Ray and Ralph Golightly; sister, Jane Antionitis; and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
