ZELIENOPLE — Sarah A. Clark, 103, of Zelienople, formerly of Dallas and Kingston, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014, while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community.
Born Feb. 8, 1911, in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Miles and Nellie (Moss) Wagner.
Mrs. Clark was a faithful Christian woman who loved the Lord and lived her faith each day. For over 68 years, Mrs. Clark was an active member of the Dorranceton United Methodist Church, Kingston, where she was a member of its Goodwill Sunday School class.
She loved to quilt and was an active member of a quilting group at a church in Dallas. Mrs. Clark enjoyed working at Humphrey's Children's Apparel, Shavertown, for over 29 years, and in her free time also liked knitting, crocheting and cooking for her family. She appreciated the simple things in life, and her house was the gathering place where everyone was welcome. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who was proud of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Clark; her daughter Judith Bornais; her two brothers, Arthur and Sheldon Wagner; and her two sisters, Marcia Campbell and Helen Brodhead.
She is survived by her daughter Wilma J. Bornais and her husband, Ronald, Cranberry Township; her four grandchildren, Sherri Schubert and her husband, David; Jill Kelley and her husband, Walter; Clark Bornais and his wife, Amanda, and Matthew Bornais and his wife, Amy; her eight great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. Member of the family, R. Dale Wagner, will officiate. Interment will be made in Bloomingdale Cemetery, Ross Township. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
