WILKES-BARRE — Anna Yankauskas, 85, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Kingston Health Care Center.
She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on April 13, 1929, a daughter of the late Peter and Sophie Kulikauskas Yankauskas. Anna was formerly employed by the Eberhard Faber Co. in Mountain Top.
She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Wilkes-Barre and a former member of Holy Trinity Church, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Yankauskas; sister, Pauline Yankauskas; and her goddaughter Joyce Antosh.
She is survived by her niece and goddaughter, Joanne Brinich, Kapolei, Hawaii; grandnieces, Christie Nadzieja, Stella Paz and Malia Brinich; along with several dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. June 25 in Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. Family and friends attending the service are asked to gather at the church 9 to 9:30 a.m.
