DALLAS — Mary E. Parker, 96, of Dallas, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Mercy Center, Dallas.
Born in Snow Shoe, Mary was a daughter of the late Michael and Susan McGroarty McLaughlin. She was a graduate of Snow Shoe High School.
Mary was employed as a secretary for the Carlin Coal Co., Snow Shoe, and in later years for Bergman's Department Store, Edwardsville.
She was a longtime resident of Shavertown and a member of St. Therese's Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was her husband, Frank T. Parker.
Surviving are her son, Thomas P. Parker and his wife, Sandra, Gering, Nebraska; three grandsons, Chris Parker and his wife, Leigh; Chad Parker and his fiancee, Amy; Tim Parker; three great-grandchildren, Tommy, Caiden and Addison Parker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Therese's Church, Pioneer Avenue and Davis Street, Shavertown. The Rev. James J. Paisley will officiate. Interment will be made in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call 9 a.m. to service at the church.
