MONTROSE — Elaine Blye Corey, 84, of Montrose, a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at home with her family at her side.
Elaine attended Springside Academy, Randolph-Macon and Cornell University. She was a cradle-to-grave Episcopalian and attended St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Tunkhannock, for 18 years. Most recently, she transferred her membership to St. Paul's Episcopal Church when she moved to Montrose.
Her life revolved around our Lord God, her church and her family. Elaine loved to tell stories of family, travel and adventure. She enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling and was a competitive athlete in her youth and throughout her life.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert W. Blye; and her second husband, William S. Corey.
She was born in Philadelphia on July 6, 1929, a daughter of the late B. Graeme Frazier Jr. and Helen Wolstenholme Frazier.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Audrey F. Whitby.
She is survived by her sons, Robert W. Blye, Pottstown; Rodger F. Blye, Chester Springs; David R. Blye, Pottstown; daughters, Lynne B. Graham, Montrose; Karen Blye-McAbee, Montrose; Barbara B. Ferrey, Sweet Valley; stepdaughters, Barbara C. Walters, Pottstown; Margaret C. Cave, Narberth; brother, Bertram Graeme Frazier III, Bluebell; 23 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at noon Saturday in St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Montrose. Friends and family may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock, and 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church in Montrose on Saturday.
