TUNKHANNOCK — Frank T. Shylkofski, 49, of Tunkhannock, died Saturday, June 28, 2014, after a long battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patricia Sliker Shylkofski.
He was born in Scranton on April 20, 1965, a son of the late Frank T. and Edith Frantz Shylkofski Sr.
Frank attended high school at Scranton Central High School and went on to earn his bachelor of science degree from the University of Scranton. He worked as a technician at Procter and Gamble in Mehoopany.
Frank enjoyed spending time with friends and family, especially his three grandchildren, whom he enjoyed teaching about the outdoors and animals.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Carol Romich and Mary Lynn Shylkofski Sr.
He is survived by his son, Corey, Factoryville; and sisters, Sue Solsman, Scranton; Frances Golden, Malvern; Judi Marmulstein, Austin, Texas; Elizabeth Garrison-Field, Scranton; and three grandchildren, Isabelle, Owen and Connor.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Tunkhannock with Murray Brindle, pastor. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery. A gathering of friends and family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
