WARRIOR RUN — Mark Peter Hetman, 52, left this life very unexpectedly in his sleep on July 13, 2014.

Mark was born in Abington. He was a graduate of Upper Dublin High School and went on to study at St. Joseph's University. After a successful career as a high school teacher in Delaware, Mark made the honorable choice to relocate to Warrior Run to be a full-time, live-in caregiver to his aging parents.

He quickly honed his skills and became a master organic farmer, founding Happy Patch Organics LLC. Mark's love and belief in educating the community of the benefits of health and wellness through organics was his passion and his joy.

In addition to all of these good works, Mark somehow found the hours in the day to tutor young people, working tirelessly with any student that needed his service to ensure their educational success.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Peter Hetman and Elizabeth Hunchar Hetman

Mark is survived by his sister, Susan Rhoads; brother-in-law, Brian Rhoads; nieces, Kaylyn and Jessica; a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins; and his devoted companion of 12 years, "Miss Kitty" Frederick, and her children, Avery and Tristan.

In lieu of flowers, please gift a donation to the John and Anastasia Hunchar Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 1046, Manchester, CT 06045-1046.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Simon S. Russin Funeral Home, Plains Township.
