WEST PITTSTON — Mrs. Jule R. (McCarthy) Bianco, 92, formerly of West Pittston, passed into Eternal Life early Sunday morning, Aug. 3, 2014, in the Partridge-Tippet Nursing Facility of Wesley Village, Pittston, following an illness.

Born Jan. 30, 1922, in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Kathleen (Loughney) McCarthy. She was a graduate of the Pittston Area High School.

Until her retirement, she and her late husband, Mr. Paul R. Bianco, owned and operated Bianco's Children's Apparel in Pittston, for many years.

Mrs. Bianco was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston, and was previously active in many organizations over the years including serving as past president of the former Pittston Hospital Auxiliary, was a Red Cross Volunteer during World War II, the Immaculate Conception Altar and Rosary Society and also held membership in the Fox Hill County Club Ladies Golf Association, where she won many tournaments.

She is fondly remembered as "Gram" to all those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents and her beloved husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Mary Acree; and a brother, Mr. Thomas McCarthy.

Mrs. Bianco is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Forlenza and her husband, Albert, West Pittston; her grandchildren, Colleen Morris and her husband, Stephen, Plains Township, Albert Forlenza III and his wife, Gina, West Pittston, and Paul Forlenza and his fiancee, Michele, along with her children, Parker and Logan, Dallas; three great-grandchildren, including Danielle Morris, Selena and Anthony Forlenza; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Thellmann, Cleveland, Ohio, as well as, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bianco will be conducted at 9:15 a.m. Thursday from the North Wilkes-Barre location of the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., 625 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston. The Rev. Monsignor John J. Sempa, pastor, will serve as celebrant. Interment with Rites of Committal will follow in Denison Cemetery, 85 Denison St., Swoyersville. Relatives and friends may join Jule's family for visitation and remembrances from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of floral tributes, memorial contributions in Mrs. Bianco's memory are suggested for the West Pittston Library; or to the Meals on Wheels Program of Pittston, 59 S. Main St., Pittston, PA 18640.
