Ronald J. Grevera Sr.

EDWARDSVILLE — Ronald J. Grevera Sr., 68, of Edwardsville, entered into eternal life on Monday, Aug. 4, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.

Ron was born in Nanticoke. He was a son of the late Edward and Anna Grevera. Ronald was a graduate of Newport Township High School. He was a U.S Army veteran, serving as a mechanic during the Vietnam War, stationed in Germany.

Ron was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather. He will be remembered by many as a "jack of all trades" who could repair anything electrical ranging from cars to refrigerators. He was employed for 36 years as an electrician for CertainTeed Corporation of Mountain Top.

Ronald was preceded in death by a son, Michael; and brother, Jack Grevera.

Ron is survived by his wife of 41 years of marriage, the former Sheryl Evans; son, Dr. Ronald Grevera Jr. and his wife, Amy, Mountain Top; daughter, Gina Considine and her husband, Michael, Hanover Township; grandchildren, Ronnie, Evan and Brady Grevera, Kailey, Jacob and Nicholas Considine; two sisters, Mary Stine and Lois Kruzel; several nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Donna and Fred Schwalbach and Linda and Frank McManus.

Calling hours for Ronald will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church, Buttonwood. Friends are asked to go directly to the church on Friday morning. Interment will be held in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Ronald Grevera Sr. Scholarship Fund, c/o Greater Nanticoke Area School District, 425 Kosciuszko St., Nanticoke, PA 18634, to further the education of a student interested in the electrical field.
