PENN LAKE — Jared Joseph Fox, 20, of Penn Lake, passed away on Aug. 11, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on Feb. 28, 1994, he was a 2012 graduate of Crestwood Area High School and was currently employed at the White Haven Center.
Jared enjoyed basketball and was an avid Eagles and Notre Dame fan. Jared was a free spirit. He was always there for anyone and always willing to lend a hand. He always made people laugh and his mellow, positive attitude was something very few people have. He was truly one of a kind.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfathers, Joseph McGraw and Arthur Dymond; paternal grandfather, James Fox; an uncle, George O'Neill; cousin, Thomas Williams; and godson, Logan Panaway.
Surviving are his parents, Maureen and Chris O'Neill and William Fox; sisters, Allison Campbell and her husband, Richard, Tricia Fox and Tia O'Neill; his girlfriend, the love of his life, Jess Jennings; maternal grandmothers, Dorothy McGraw and Gail Dymond; and paternal grandmother, Charlotte Fox.
There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in the St. Patrick Church, White Haven. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the McCune Funeral Home, 80 S. Mountain Blvd., Mountain Top. If you are attending the wake or funeral and have tie-dye, Eagles or Notre Dame attire, please wear it in memory of Jared.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the St. Patrick Church, White Haven.
