MEHOOPANY — Angelo J. Sabbatini, of Mehoopany, died Wednesday evening, Aug. 13, 2014, at the Hospice of the Sacred Heart in Dunmore.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 10, 1937, a son of the late Romolo and Viola Lawrence Sabbatini.
Angelo was a U.S. Air Force veteran and, for more than 40 years, he was employed as a bricklayer by Local 5 of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union. He was a member of the Black Walnut American Legion.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Sherry Jennings Sabbatini; son, Anthony, Scranton; daughters, Debra (Alec) Barcklow, Bear Creek, Theresa (Jerry) Smicherko, Avoca, and Wendy Carey, Jenningsville; brother, Raymond (Tina) Sabbatini, Wyoming; eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday from the Sheldon-Kukuchka Funeral Home Inc., 73 W. Tioga St., Tunkhannock. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Stowell. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
