Mildred Love, formerly of Suscon, and most recently a resident of United Methodist Homes Wesley Village Campus, Pittston, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born in Suscon, January 4, 1912, a daughter of the late Francis and Sarah Nash Hatmaker. She attended Suscon schools. Mildred was a lifelong member of St. John’s Primitive Methodist Church, Avoca.
She was preceded in death by husband, Robert E. Love; son, Arthur Thomas Jr.; brothers, Clarence, Howard and Walter Hatmaker; sister, Bertha Herrmann.
Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Carolyn Jenkes, and her husband, Warren, Duryea; son, Barry Thomas, Duryea; granddaughters, Dr. Tammy Jenkes McVeigh, Mount Kisco, N.Y.; Krystal Thomas, Pittston; great-grandchildren, Katie and Ryan McVeigh; several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the Howell-Lussi Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, at the convenience of the family.
The Rev. Rich Rock, her pastor, will officiate.
Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
