Amy Lynn Zapolski, 29, of RR No. 5 Box 28, Montrose, Pa. (Fairdale), passed away unexpectedly at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, in Montrose, Pa., on Thursday evening, April 1, 2010. Amy was born in Tunkhannock, on January 11, 1981, a daughter of Roger L. Miller Sr., of Centermoreland, and Cindy L. Shiffer and George Shiffer Sr., of Meshoppen, Pa. Growing up near Meshoppen, she attended the Elk Lake High School. Spending all of her time with and near her children, they where her brightest joys. She loved to listen to music, especially The Eagles, and enjoyed her collection of butterflies. She was preceded in death by a son, Brandon Sharer, who passed away on September 9, 2001; and a sister, Mandy Lynn Noble, who passed away on August 22, 1986. Besides her parents, she is survived by her husband of 3 ½ years, Robert S. Zapolski, of Fairdale, Pa.; and her children, Bobby Zapolski, 3, and Jesse Zapolski, 1 ½, both of Fairdale, Pa.; Kayla Jones, 13, and David Sharer, 10, both of Laceyville, Pa.; Melonie Rookstool, 6, of Montrose, Pa., and Heather Renee' Zapolski, and Barbie Zapolski, both of South Montrose, Pa.; and two grandchildren, McKinna Taylor, and Tori Anna Taylor, both of South Montrose, Pa. She is also survived by a sister, Ariel Shiffer, of Meshoppen; and two brothers, Roger L. and Tammy Lynn Miller Jr., of Tunkhannock, and George Shiffer Jr., of Meshoppen, Pa.; as well as many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her paternal grandfather, George Miller Sr., of Centermoreland; and maternal grandfather, Robert Goble Sr., of Tunkhannock; and a stepgrandmother Irene Shiffer, of Tunkhannock; as well as several aunts; uncles; and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday from the Sheldon Funeral Home, Main Street, Meshoppen, Pa., with the Rev. Lori Robinson, a cousin of Amy, officiating. Interment will be in the Bolles Cemetery, in Fairdale, Pa. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing are urged to contribute to the fund being set up for the caring of Amy's children, at the Peoples National Bank, Meshoppen, PA 18630.
