Eileen S. (Vandermark) Ferlick, 66, a retired salesperson and restaurant owner, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, May 26, 2010, at her residence with her loving family at her side. Mrs. Ferlick, a resident of the Wayne section of Upper Merion Township, Pa., was employed by Sears of St. David's and King of Prussia for six years. She, along with her late husband Frank, owned and operated Fast Frank's Restaurant of Swedeland, Pa., for 11 years. She enjoyed baking, exercising, going to the beach and throwing parties. In 1962, while in high school, she was voted the best dancer. Above all her activities, she mostly enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. She was a graduate of Newport High School. Born December 31, 1943, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Gertrude (Finley) Vandermark and the wife of the late Capt. Frank R. Ferlick. She is survived by son, Thomas Ferlick and his wife, Kari, of Upper Salford Township, Pa.; daughters, Lisa Mossie and her husband, Gene, of Oaks, Pa.; Christine Hindle and her husband, Ian, of Wayne, Pa.; Jessica Ferlick of Wayne, Pa., and Kathryn Ferlick (Mike DeRosa), of Bridgeport, Pa.; grandchildren, Jodi Vermuth, Colleen Emmons, Dana Roeder, Casey Ferlick, Blake Hindle, Josie Ferlick, Frankie Ferlick and Robbie Ferlick; and brothers William Vandermark and his wife, Gloria, of Dunellen, N.J.; Harold Vandermark, of Wanamie, and Edward Vandermark and his wife, June, of Myrtle Beach, S.C. A memorial service in honor of Eileen will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Greentree Church of the Brethren, 1078 Egypt Rd., Oaks, Pa., with the Rev. David Leither, pastor, officiating. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:50 a.m. at the church. The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Lippincott Family Hospice, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111. Arrangements are by the Bernard S. Gutkowski Funeral Home Inc., of Swedesburg, Upper Merion Township, Pa.
