Mary Ann Popivchak, 82, of South Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, died early Sunday morning, August 15, 2010, at Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Edwardsville on February 27, 1928, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Kondrak) Wilk. She was a graduate of Edwardsville High School, Class of 1946, and was employed by the federal government. She is survived by a son, Mark Popivchak, Vienna, Va.; a brother, John Wilk, Clarks Summit; and sisters, Margaret Dainowski, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Irene Parsons, Wilkes-Barre; Ann Wilk, Wilkes-Barre, Theresa Menik and her husband, Joseph, Edwardsville; and a niece and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel at Little Flower Manor, 200 South Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre, with the Rev. Richard Ghezzi officiating. Relatives and friends may call from 8 to 9 a.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel at Little Flower Manor, 200 South Meade Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be held in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale. Arrangements are by the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville.
