Dorothy Orth Lawall, 68, a longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre, died Monday, Dec. 10, 2012.
Born December 20, 1943 in Pittston Township, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Alice Hennigan Orth.
Dorothy was a graduate of Pittston High School and dedicated most of her life to caring for her family.
Her husband of 32 years, Edward R. Lawall, died Feb. 6, 2002.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Mary Alice Redington and Carol Reedy, and a brother, Louis Orth.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Kevin and his wife, Kimberly Lawall, West Wyoming, and Mary Alyce and her husband, Steven Langdon, Wilkes-Barre; grandsons, Steven and Edward Joseph (EJ) Langdon and Hunter Thomas Lawall; sisters Margaret Duda, Plymouth; Elizabeth Klush, Pittston; Sally Colarusso, Pittston, and Denise Orth, Pittston; brother Robert Orth, Avoca; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Celebration of Dorothy's Life will be held Friday beginning at 8:30 a.m. at McLaughlin's, The Family Funeral Service, 142 S. Washington St. in Wilkes-Barre with Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will be in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Hanover Township.
