Leona Wujcik, age 94, of Plymouth Township, passed into the hands of the Lord on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012.

Born Nov. 12, 1918, in Larksville, and raised in Sweet Valley, she was a daughter of the late John and Rose Chikey Okonieski

She was a member of All Saints Parish of Plymouth and attended Lake-Lehman schools.

Prior to her retirement, she was employed by the Luzerne County Magisterial District as a secretary. Earlier in life she was employed by General Cigar.

Throughout her life her greatest joy was spending time with her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Leona was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Wujcik Sr., who passed away in 1985; infant son, Frank Wujcik; sisters, Clara Shoblock, Frances Hurysch, Helen Applegate, Victoria Kutz, Rose Okonieski, Mary Okonieski; brothers, Frank Okonieski, Paul Okonieski; and step-father, Anthony Gromada.

Surviving are her loving children Carolyn Carozzoni and her husband, Anthony; Mary Ann Owens and her husband, Dr. Russell; Diane Finnegan; Dr. Bernard J. Wujcik Jr. and his wife, Beth; grandchildren, Kimberly and Carol Ann Carozzoni; Mark Owens and his wife, Gabrielle; Suzanne Kile and her husband, Joshua; Sean and Ryan Finnegan; Lindsey and Adam Wujcik; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Emily Finnegan, Andrew and Adam Owens.

Funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in All Saints Parish, Plymouth. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call Friday from 3 to 7 p.m.
