Jerry E. LeRoy, 73, born in Bronx, N.Y., and a resident of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday Dec. 20, 2012, at the Inpatient Unit of the Commonwealth Hospice of Wilkes-Barre in St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre.
He was the beloved husband of Lorraine LeRoy for 30½ years.
He fought a hard battle with pancreatic cancer. Jerry was a maintenance supervisor at one time at Old River Road Bakery, Wilkes-Barre, and also the Boulevard Bakery, Wilkes-Barre. He loved to hunt, fish and camp. He also was the owner of Jerry's Tattoo Studio for over 20 years on South Main Street, Wilkes-Barre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerhard and Eleanor Ahler; his first wife, Lenora Patton LeRoy; and his sister, Lorraine Cioffero.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine A. LeRoy; his sons, Robert and Richard LeRoy; his daughter, Lori Fisher; sons, Fred and Tom Betterly; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Edwards and Russin Funeral Home, 717 Main St., Edwardsville, with the Rev. James C. Quinn officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville. Family and friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
