Ann M. Zoeller, 89, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday at the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
She was born in Wilkes-Barre on Nov. 21, 1923, a daughter of the late Leo and Mary Schmidt Beierle.
Ann was a graduate of GAR Memorial High School, class of 1941. She was formerly employed at the Faith Shoe Co. and worked for many years as a housekeeper and cook at several area parishes including St. Boniface Church, St. Nicholas Church and Holy Rosary Church in Wilkes-Barre.
Ann was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nana and great-nana. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was well known for her delicious German dishes.
Ann was a devoted member of St. Nicholas Church in Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis G. Zoeller, in 1969; her brothers, Joseph and Leo Beierle; sisters, Ruth Olerta, Betty Beierle and Mary Alice Sheplock.
Surviving are her children, Louis T. Zoeller and his wife, Margaret, Wilkes-Barre; Eileen Horensky and her husband, Stephen, Wilkes-Barre, and Joseph (Jay) Zoeller and his wife, Lucy, Hanover Township; grandchildren, Lori M. Laskoski, Traci Ann Partlow, Louis R. and Michael F. Zoeller, Michele A. Walsh and Stephen Horensky and Dr. Jason J. Zoeller and Mallory M. Zoeller; great-grandchildren, Megan and Jillian Laskoski, Bryce and Madison Partlow, Coral and Dominic Zoeller, Brady and Mikaylee Zoeller, and Aiden and Evan Walsh; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30 am in St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
