Eleanor (Grace) Karlotski, of Luzerne, died peacefully on Friday, Feb. 8, at Geisinger South Hospice surrounded by her family.
Born March 2, 1927, in Luzerne, she was a daughter of Margaret Stile. Eleanor attended Sacred Heart School, Luzerne High School and College Misericordia. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Hollywood Store in Wilkes-Barre, the Globe Store in Luzerne as a bookkeeper and later worked at Leeds Store in Edwardsville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Karlotski, in 1996, and son-in-law, John W. Wallowak, in 2009.
She is survived by her children, Jessica Nash, Luzerne; Maggie Wallowak, Kingston; Bill Karlotski and wife, Denise, Hunlock Creek; Joyce Doyne and husband, Tom, Luzerne; Dawn Seidel, Kingston; Jamie Karlotski, Mountain Top; Ellen Karlotski and grandson, Nick (aka) Charlie Brown, with whom she lived, Luzerne. She had 12 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
A private viewing will be held for family and extended family of Eleanor on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Betz-Jastremski Funeral Home Inc., 568 Bennett St., Luzerne, with a prayer service at 8 p.m.
