Dolores M. (Wydra) Tucker, 82, of Edwardsville, passed into eternal life early Friday morning, March 1, 2013, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, after being stricken ill at home.
Born Dec. 31, 1929 in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter to the late Stanley and Suzanne (Sidelko) Wydra. She was educated in the Pringle and West Side schools.
Until her retirement, Mrs. Tucker worked in the local garment industry as a sewing machine operator for several years. More recently, she worked part-time with the Wilkes-Barre Window Cleaning Co.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Kingston, where she remained active and faithful for many years. In her spare time, she volunteered at the Wyoming Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross and the Senior Citizen Center, Wilkes-Barre.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Constantine S. Pokaladic; son, Thaddeus; and sisters, Roberta Malarky and Evelyn Wydra.
Surviving are her children, Helena Ferantti and her husband, Carl, of Luzerne, Connie Jane and her husband, David, of Kingston, Stanley Pokaladic, at home, C.J. Wydra, Wyoming Valley, and Lori Tucker and Eileen Brown, both of Edwardsville; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Wydra, Kingston; sisters, Beverly Wydra, Edwardsville, and Phyllis Hopko, Maryland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Tucker will be private and at the convenience of her family from the John V. Morris Family Funeral Homes Inc., Wilkes-Barre. There will be no formal public calling hours.
