Edward J. Sebolka, 64, of Luzerne, passed away Thursday morning at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
Edward was born on Aug. 25, 1948, a son of the late Francis and Mary Sebolka and was a graduate of Lake-Lehman High School.
Ed worked various jobs before retiring early due to his illness. Ed was skilled in all trades; he could fix your car, fix your leaky sink, build a house, or wrestle a snake out from under the dash of a car. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone. Ed had a great skill in carpentry. He enjoyed building beautiful furniture and crafts out of wood for his friends and family.
Ed also enjoyed going to their camper at Acorn Acres and to Lancaster with his wife, Mary, with whom he just celebrated 23 years of marriage this past November.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Mark and Francis.
He will be missed by his wife, Mary; daughter, Robin Morcavage and her husband, Matthew, Dallas; sons, Shawn Visco and Adam Sebolka, both of Luzerne; daughter, Caitlin Sebolka, Luzerne, and grandchildren, Matthew and Madalyn; brother Jeff and his wife, Lisa, Edwardsville; brother Paul and his wife, Evie, Larksville; sister Rosemary and her husband, Christopher Busse, Lititz; sister Barbara and her husband, Earl, Luzerne, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. from the Daniel J Hughes Funeral & Cremation Service, 617 Carey Ave., Wilkes Barre. Friends may call Tuesday at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until the time service. Interment will be private.
