Colleen Farrell Maloney, 52, of Scranton, passed away Wednesday.
She was born in Scranton, March 31, 1961, and was the daughter of the late Robert and Marita (Byron) Farrell.
Colleen was a 1979 graduate of West Scranton High School. She graduated from Lackawanna County Community College and was employed as a floor manager of Wal-Mart, Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Karen Charchar.
She is survived by her son, Eric Spreen, at home; her brothers, Gerard and his wife, Elaine Farrell, of Dickson City; Robert X. Farrell Jr. and wife Cathy, of Glendale Ariz.; and Kevin and his wife, Michelle, of Mt. Cobb; her sister Mercita Clelan and her husband, Joel, Harrisburg.
Also surviving are her granddaughter, Ashlynn Spreen; her aunt, Barbara Sherwood, and her husband, Robert, of Mechanicsburg; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Queen Of The Apostles Parish Church (St. Mary's Church), Hawthorne Street, Avoca, with Fr. Phillip Sladicka officiating. Family and friends may call for visitation at St. Mary's Church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass. Interment will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery, Avoca.
