Richard Williams, 84, of Swoyersville, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at Highland Manor in Exeter.
He was born in Forty Fort on Jan. 17, 1929, he was a son of Owen and Flora Williams. He graduated form Forty Fort High School, class of 1947. Upon graduation, he joined and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
Richard formerly resided in Lancaster for more than 40 years. He was employed by Nabisco Corp. as a salesman. He was self-employed and owned and operated Equipment and Refrigeration Inc. and the Barndoor Bar & Restaurant in Millersville.
Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Ruth (Hosey) Williams; his daughters, Mary Lou Difelice and her husband, Lou, Lancaster; Debbie Havert and her husband, Bob, Houston, Texas; stepsons, Donald Shepherd and his wife, Diane, Harrisburg, and William Shepherd and his wife, Debbie, Forty Fort; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Friends and family may call 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort. Private graveside services will be at the Forty Fort Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
