CUMMING, Ga. — James Leroy Hargreave, 90, of Cumming, Ga., died at his home on October 28, 2013.
Born in Wilkes Barre, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bertha Hargreave. His beloved wife, Juanita, also preceded him in death.
James retired from the U.S. Navy after 22 years, six months and one day of service. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam as a pilot.
He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed by his family.
He is survived by his children, Richard (Cindy) Hargreave, Barbara Grogan, Cathy (Michael) Massie, Delores (Henry) Shoemacher and Joseph Hargreave; 12 much-loved grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 a.m. to service Wednesday at the funeral home. James will be buried at sea with military honors at a later date.
