A Poem to my Uncle: Joseph Charles (Boguszewski) Bogus
Goodbyes are really hard to say, and hurt so very much. I close my eyes and shut them tight, in hopes that when they open up, that all will be alright.
But if heaven had a window, and God had let me in, I would see you dancing, laughing, and hugging those, the ones you missed so dear.
We enter this life alone, but we never leave alone; I know our whole family is there waiting- just to welcome you back home. So for now, we will have to miss you here – if for just a little while.
Boguszewski's are known to have a stubborn streak, being passed down on and on…so you were not the only one - that can claim it all alone. We know that this is who you were, and we loved you just the same, no matter how hard you tried and tried… to push us all away. We know how much you really cared – just by the special gifts you shared, and sent to us by mail.
Even though you were not the mushy kind - I have shed so many tears; being glad I got to say goodbye and let you know I cared.
Life is such a journey; and death is sure to come, and knowing that our Love is Strong will help us go along.
I will Miss You and Love You Always
