FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla. — Eugene Robert Paisley Sr., 37, of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., died on Feb. 28, 2014, following a courageous battle against colon cancer.
Born in Berwick, he is a son of Gladys Paisley. He is also survived by two children, Nicole Marie and Eugene Robert Jr., Hanover Township. He loved his children with all his heart and soul, and spending time with them was his favorite thing to do.
Gene leaves behind six siblings, Darlene Grosz, Florence Paisley, Cynthia Errigo, Betty Blazick, and his two best friends, Doris Shaw and Gary Paisley. He has many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Garvin, with whom he shared a birthday.
Gene loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and boating. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He was self employed in the construction business for many years. He trusted everyone. He will live forever in the hearts of his children, his family and all those who knew him.
A memorial service and celebration of his life will be at 4 p.m. Friday at the Nebo Baptist Church, 75 Prospect St., Nanticoke. Family and friends are invited to attend or visit 2 p.m. until time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to his mother, Gladys Paisley, 11 Niemchick Road, Hunlock Creek, PA 18621, to assist the family with Gene's final expenses as well as to benefit his children.
